reefer madness
Reefer Madness is a 1936 American film about drugs revolving around the melodramatic events that ensue when high-school students are lured by pushers to try marijuana—from a hit and run accident, to manslaughter, suicide, attempted rape, hallucinations, and descent into madness from marijuana addiction.
It is campy, sad (considering its time), totally hysterical, and in this colorized version of the movie, the cannabis smoke is different colors!
Reefer, REEFER, REEFER..

Historic quotes that led to Reefer Madness:
“Users of the marijuana become stimulated as they inhale the drug and are likely to do anything. Most crimes of violence in country districts, are laid to users of that drug.”
“Marijuana is the most violence-causing drug in the history of mankind.”
“You smoke a joint, and you’re likely to kill your brother.”
“Reefer makes negroes think they’re as good as white men.”
“I do not think there is such a thing as not being able to cure an addict. Marihuana addicts must go to a Federal narcotic farm.”
